Specialist advice on complex statistical problems in health science research — applied statistician with 25 years of hands-on experience.
For the tricky questions where senior-level expertise makes all the difference.
Stats4all is a specialist statistical consultancy run by Henrik Støvring — Professor of Statistics and Pharmacometrics at Aarhus University (Department of Biomedicine) and Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus.
My background includes two doctoral degrees (PhD from the University of Southern Denmark; DMSc from Aarhus University) and an MSc from the University of Chicago as a Fulbright Scholar. At University of Chicago I won the student award as best statistical consultant and I take pride in bringing methodological depth to every engagement.
With Stats4all, I take on a select number of consultancy assignments which allows me to bring dedicated and motivated expert contributions to projects. Enquiries in Danish or English are both welcome.
Stats4all focuses on the methodologically challenging problems where experience and depth genuinely matter — the questions where getting it right takes a specialist, and where senior statistical expertise can change the outcome of an entire study.
Advanced strategies well beyond simple complete-case analysis — modern multiple imputation methods carefully tailored to the structure and missingness pattern of your study.
Complex power calculations via stochastic simulation for non-standard designs, composite endpoints, hierarchical data, and adaptive trials where closed-form formulas fall short.
Linear and generalised linear models (logistic, Poisson, negative binomial), survival analysis (Cox and parametric), mixed effects models, and pharmacoepidemiology study designs.
Drug utilization, exposure–response analysis, real-world evidence, and post-authorisation safety studies — grounded in 25 years of register-based research.
A practised strength built over decades: translating intricate statistical results into clear, credible narratives for clinicians, regulators, reviewers, and non-statistical audiences.
Pragmatic support shaped to your situation — a focused consultation, independent review, hands-on supervision, or well-documented R or Stata code you can adapt and build on yourself.

My ongoing academic research at Aarhus University is the basis for my statistical consultancy. With over 150 peer-reviewed publications and more than 5,700 citations, my work spans applied and methodological questions in health science statistics.
Research areas include pharmacoepidemiology, missing data methodology, cancer screening, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, HIV, and the development of novel study designs for real-world evidence using Danish health registers.
This active research base means consultancy advice reflects today's best methodological practice — current work, not historical textbooks.
You work with me — not a junior analyst, not a rotating team. Every engagement gets the full weight of 25 years of statistical experience at professor level.
Current methodology, and not just historical textbooks. My advice is shaped by my ongoing work at the frontier of health science statistics at Aarhus University.
The goal is workable, defensible answers — not theoretical elegance for its own sake. Complex problems deserve practical, implementable solutions.
A rare and practised skill: deep statistical expertise paired with the ability to explain it clearly to any audience — built over decades of teaching and research collaboration.
